
Fabrizio Meloni has been principal solo clarinet of the orchestra of Teatro alla Scala and of the Filarmonica della Scala since 1984. Born in 1965, he graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan with top marks, distinction and honourable mention.
A prizewinner at international competitions including the ARD in Munich and the Prague Spring, he has collaborated with artists such as Bruno Canino, Heinrich Schiff and the Hagen Quartet, touring around the world. He is the author of the book “Il clarinetto”, with a preface by Riccardo Muti.
On 16 June he is the protagonist of Mozart Evenings together with Quartetto Pegreffi.
