A German harpist born in Karlsruhe in 1978, Mirjam Schröder made her concert debut at just fifteen with none other than Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp. She has won numerous competitions, including the Audience Award and third prize at the 2004 ARD International Competition and first prize at the Reinl Competition in Vienna and Munich.
Active as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, she has been professor of harp at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2015.
On 17 June she returns to that very Mozart concerto for flute and harp, alongside Tommaso Benciolini, at Mozart Evenings.
