Giovanna Faccincani — iconographer, founding member and President of Appassionata Mente ETS.
Giovanna Faccincani, an iconographer, is a founding member and President of Appassionata Mente ETS. Since the early 1980s she has worked as a freelance professional devoted to the study, dissemination and creation of ancient sacred iconographic art.
1988 — Degree in Modern Literature, History of Art specialisation, awarded with 110/110 cum laude by the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of Bologna, with a thesis on monstrous and fantastic animals in the mosaic floors of the Po Valley (supervisor Prof. Raffaella Farioli).
1981–1990 — Iconography courses held by Père Georges Drobot at the St. Serge Theological Institute in Paris.
1996–2000 — Iconography courses with Maestro Alexander Stalnov, lecturer at the Iconographic Department of the Orthodox Theological Academy of Saint Petersburg.
Since 1982 — Iconographer: creation of paintings executed in fresco and egg tempera on panel, with leaf gilding, commissioned by private clients and ecclesiastical institutions.
1996–1998 — Technical graphic design for cartographic products, commissioned by the company i.ter s.c.r.l. of Bologna.
Since 2000 — Teacher at the School of Iconography of the Monastic Community of Marango di Caorle (Venice).
Since 2023 she has been a founding member and President of Appassionata Mente ETS, holding its legal representation. She carries out the role on a pro bono basis and performs organisational work within the association.
