Giuseppe Gibboni

Violin · Italy

Born in 2001, Giuseppe Gibboni came to international attention in 2021 by winning the Paganini Competition in Genoa — the first Italian to bring the prize home in twenty-four years — also taking the audience award and the special prizes for the best interpretation of Paganini's Caprices and Concerto.

Introduced to the violin by his father Daniele, he went on to study with Salvatore Accardo and Pierre Amoyal. Since then he has launched a busy concert career, making his debut, among others, with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.

On 18 June he closes Mozart Evenings as soloist with L'Appassionata.
